New Orleans - As parents pulled up to pick up their kids, many were shocked to hear the focus of our questions.
"I am very surprised. I wasn't even aware of that", says parent Stephanie Turner.
Every parent we talked to wasn't aware a convicted felon was working in their children's school.

Parents we talked to had mixed reaction.
"I'm not comfortable with a thief working there. It sets a bad example for kids," says parent Ashley Severin.
The state's Department of Education sent us a statement saying, based on preliminary investigations, the school has not broken the law.
"The Intercultural Charter School is a local education agency and as such, is authorized to make decisions around school personnel as long around those decisions are in compliance with state laws and policies as well as the provisions of their charter contract."
But one member of the state's Board of Education says she's concerned Nguyen may have the opportunity to be around the school's financial records.
