MOKAPU STEM SCHOOL

NOTE: monitor Hawaii for future attempts, possibly with a changed school name
History
This would have been a charter school conversion of Mokapu Elementary School on the Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the Mokapu Peninsula (Oahu). It was presented in Fall 2010 and rejected by the Mokapu School Community Council in April 2011. If the proposal had been accepted by the school site, it would have gone before the state’s Charter School Review Panel, Hawaii’s only authorizer.
